Bath mats are one of the cheapest of all area rugs, making them a
great way to quickly and easily change your bathroom décor from
one day to the next. A bathroom rug is a focal point in your
bathroom which can soften a cold lifeless bathroom and turn it
into a warm and inviting room.
Bath rugs are made to withstand mold and mildew so ensure that you
purchase a rug that is specifically made for bathrooms. Any bath
mat that you purchase should also be machine or hand-washable as
your bathroom is a high-traffic area and the rug will see a lot of
wear.
If you have a large bathroom then more than one rug may be needed.
Stepping out of bath or shower areas will require a bath mat
directly underfoot to absorb moisture. And bathroom vanities
should always have a bath mat placed in front as this is one area
that is used most often.
Bathroom floors get wet and slippery so ensure that any bath mat
you purchase has a non-slip backing.
