Children’s area
rugs come in colors to suit just about any child’s room, and even
come in various shapes that match the room’s décor. For example,
you can find rugs in the shape of animals, stars, and toys.
Imagine a little boy’s room decorated with a train theme, and a
cute train shaped area rug in the center of the room. Or if your
young girl has a love for flowers, and has chosen that as her
room’s decoration theme, you could purchase several smaller rugs
shaped like flowers in different colors to spread around, creating
a garden on the floor. Your options are limited only by your
imagination!
In addition to
shapes, children’s area rugs come in a great variety of colors and
designs. That same train décor could include a large area rug
with train track and city designed into the rug so the child could
actually use it as a play tool as well as decoration. Or, if you
have enough pattern in the bedspread and curtains, you could
purchase a red and black rug that would simply complement the
other colors in the room.
If
you have younger children, be sure to look for area rugs that have
been treated to resist stains. If they are, you will be able to
clean up those juice spills and cookie crumbs much easier, making
your children’s area rug last for many years.
So, choosing a
children’s area rug may not be as easy as you thought. With all
of the options, you will likely find yourself having to choose
from a great selection. Hmm, maybe you really could use two area
rugs in your child’s room.
